We collect the following information when you interact with the App:

  • Habit information (habit names, categories, frequency)

  • Challenge participation details (XP earned, completion data, rankings)

  • Social connections (optional buddy connections, friend codes)

  • App preferences and settings


OnlyPals does not collect:

  • Contact lists

  • Device photos

  • Precise location data

  • Audio or camera content


1.2 Automatically Collected Information

For app performance and reliability, we collect:

  • Basic device information (model, OS version)

  • Crash reports and diagnostics

  • Performance metrics and load times

  • High-level usage analytics (e.g., feature interactions, frequency of app opens)


No advertising tracking data is collected unless opted in, and this data is purely to know which customers came from a TikTok / Facebook advertisement – nothing more.


1.3 Information from Third-Party Services


We receive:

  • Subscription status and payment confirmation from Apple App Store

  • Authentication and storage data from Firebase services


We do not receive credit card numbers or billing addresses.


2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION


2.1 Core App Features

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account

  • Track habit activity and XP progression

  • Support leaderboard rankings and challenge systems

  • Power buddy connections and social accountability features

  • Sync data securely across your devices

3.1 Firebase Storage

All user data—including habits, XP, challenge activity, avatar state, and friend connections—is stored through Firebase infrastructure. Firebase manages:

  • Data encryption in transit and at rest

  • Secure authentication

  • Real-time database sync


3.2 Local Storage

Some cached data may be stored temporarily on your device to improve speed and offline performance. This data remains encrypted and does not leave your device unless synced through Firebase.


3.3 Security Measures

We implement:

  • HTTPS/TLS encrypted data transmission

  • Secure authentication protocols

  • Role-based access control

  • Regular security reviews


No employee or contractor can access your personal data unless required to resolve a technical issue, and access is always limited and logged.


4. DATA SHARING AND THIRD PARTIES


4.1 Firebase

Firebase stores and processes data solely to power app functionality. Firebase does not access your content for advertising or resale.


4.2 Apple App Store

Apple provides subscription and payment confirmation data to us. Apple does not provide payment card numbers.


4.3 No Data Sales

We do not:

  • Sell user data

  • Rent user data

  • Trade user data

  • Provide user data for advertising

  • Allow third-party marketing access


OnlyPals is ad-free and revenue is not derived from data exploitation.


5. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You may:

  • View all habit, challenge, and XP data in-app

  • Edit or delete your habits and activity

  • Remove social connections

  • Export your data upon request

  • Request account deletion at any time


Account and data deletion requests permanently remove your stored information from Firebase infrastructure, except legally required retention or anonymized logs.


6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

OnlyPals is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.


7. INTERNATIONAL USERS

If you access OnlyPals outside the United States, your data may be processed in other regions where privacy laws differ from your country. By using the app, you consent to this processing.


8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be communicated through:

  • In-app notifications

  • Updated publication date on this document


Continued use of the app after changes signifies acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

Habit, XP, and challenge data remain stored in Firebase while your account is active.


9.2 Account Deletion

When you request deletion:

  • Firebase data is permanently removed

  • Local device cache is erased

  • Some anonymized, non-identifiable system data may remain for performance and diagnostics reporting
